Peachy Canyon / Westside Paso Robles / Zinfandel 2000
opened 05/05/04, $6($9), Trader Joe's Alameda

- smell: charcoal, licorice, wisteria, dark chocolate, lime

- off-dry, 9 acidic, 6.5 medium-bodied, 0 bitter

- taste: pepper, baby blanket, apple pie, broccoli, cream

- aftertaste: cloves around the back-middle of your mouth, a soft impression on the lips; the roof of your mouth feels lively, and leaves a little of the charcoal at the back of your throat

- texture: buttery, mango-juice-like

--> I really like it. This is a great day wine, slow picnicking under dappled shade and sun in the park wine. Also for a sunny, spirited afternoon in the living room.
